Maybe: Depends on whether his symptoms re getting worse or not. Even though his lungs/exam were ok when he was seen, if his symptoms worsen don't hesitate to take him back to his dr. If he is showing signs of respiratory distress then further tests might be necessary.

Not neccesarily: This is most likely bronchiolitis at this time of the year and with the age of your baby. If the baby's lungs sound clear, then an x-ray is really not needed and exposes a young, developing body to unneeded radiation. Don't get me wrong - if your baby needs an x-ray, i would do it, just does not sound in this case it is going to be very helpful as the problem is most likely a virus in the airways.
