Laryngitis/cough: Laryngitis is usually caused by a virus which will usually not last longer than 10-14 days at the most. Why are you taking prednisone with diabetes? Are you also asthmatic? An urgent care walk in center or if short of breath ER is an option. Do you have someone who could drive you there? If not short of breath, do you think you could relax and get some healing sleep tonight? Try Delsym (dextromethorphan) OTC.

Lung infection: Likely, the meds did not clear it. Call doc, ask for quick check. Likely you would benefit from an inhaler, and another pulse of prednisone, and a different antibiotic, like. ZPAK.
