Mini TT: It depends upon exactly what the operation is to be preformed. Some mini TTs are just skin removal while others are more involved, muscle repair, liposuction, etc.

Yes: A tummy tuck, like most plastic surgery is still major surgery. But there are different grades of "major" surgery. Heart surgery or a transplant is much traumatic to your body then a tummy tuck or breast augmentation. A mini usually is a smaller incision with less tissue removal +/- tightening of the muscle. It can be done in 1-2 hrs. Cost varies in the $4000-$1000 range depending on location.

Not Major, But Still: A mini tummy tuck isn't major surgery (like open heart surgery, for example) but it is still surgery. All surgery carries a degree of risk and you should consult with a board certified plastic surgeon who can explain the procedure and help you weigh the risk to benefit ratio. Cost varies from region to region, surgeon to surgeon, and based on surgical plan. ($6,000 to $8,000 here in Baltimore.)
