RLS: Restless leg syndrome (RLS) or Periodic Limb Movement Disorder is commoner in females and may be associated with use of caffeine and alcohol, as well as iron deficiency anemia and sleep apnea. Avoid stimulants, check for anemia and sleep apnea and try supplemental magnesium before consideration of medications. Some antidepressants, dopamine antagonists and lithium may cause it as a side effect.
