Endometrial biopsy: Is done in the office with a thin plastic tube that is inserted into the uterus through the opening in the cervix. Small amount of endometrial tissue is sucked out of the uterus and sent for analysis. Usually women experience short lasting cramping during the procedure or immediately after. There can also be some spotting right after the procedure.
