What are the signs that you should get a endometrial biopsy done?

Depends: If you are having irregular period bleeding then it can help rule out a cancerous or precancerous condition. If you are having bleeding after going through menopause then an endometrial biopsy is necessary. It is usually performed because of an abnormal bleeing pattern or an abnormal findings on an ultrasound of the uterus.

Endometrial biopsy: Endometrial biopsy is performed for abnormal uterine bleeding in anyone over 40-45. If younger than an endometrial biopsy is performed for persistent abnormal uterine bleeding or any abnormal uterine bleeding in the face of risk factors such as obesity or family history. If not menopausal than a pregnancy test should be performed first.
