Abnormal biopsy: An endometrial biopsy is a screen. If there are any abnormalities then a D&C is done. Sometimes you are dealing with the "tip of the iceberg". Meaning, the slight abnormality that is seen in the biopsy may signify something more sinister. So that has to be ruled out. The prognosis for endometrial cancer, if, caught early is extremely good.
