My 11 month old daughter has a red, raised line rash along her inner thigh near her diaper. what could this be?

DIAPER DERMATITIS: It is irritation from the diaper or intertrigo. You can use your rash cream for that problem.

Rash along diaper: If the rash is where the elastic of the diaper is, it could be contact dermatitis to the elastic. Yeast infections with candida can also cause a rash along the groin fold but the are beefy red and have small papules and pustules right outside the main red area. Compression by the elastic of the diaper can cause a type of hive called dermatographism. If this persists please see your doctor.

Diaper reaction: Most likely it's a contact irritation from the gather of the diaper itself. Or something was pressed there for a long period of time. There's a lot of questions, though.... How long was it there, is it changing, does it correspond to the angle of the diaper gather, and is it worsening? Any suspicions, have your pediatrician look at it.
