Impetigo in children: Diaper rashes that present with red bumps and spread to other parts, could be secondary to a bacterial infection with staph. Another condition is yeast infection. Did the diaper rash cleared? Are there members in the household with skin infections? Try bactroban (mupirocin) ointment 2% on the lesions. If no better within 24 hrs, visit your pediatrician.Strict hand washing before and after taking care of baby.
