What does tmj eminectomy mean?

Removal of eminence: It sound like there is a protrusion of excess bone on the condyle of the tmj and this would be a surgical procedure to remove it. Best to talk with your surgeon.

Removal the eminence: This involves removal of that part of the jaw joint (the eminence) which is causing close lock. Eminectomy is the most common TMJ surgery.
