My son had a vallecular cyst removed 5 days. before surgery, he was sleeping through the night. now he cries after falling asleep & wants to be held ?

Normal response: your son most likely some separation anxiety at night. Even though he was asleep during the surgery, the whole experience about the surgery cause some degree of anxiety or PTSD. I would take him back to his bed when he comes into your bed overnight. I would read a short story or rub his back when he is sleeping in his bed as comfort Measures. If this new pattern continues, appointment with Dr.
