Call doc first: If you are scheduled for surgery on tuesday the er will likely not do a whole lot for you. The main thing i would state is whether you don't have a cervical source to your shoulder pain given the hand involvment. It may be prudent to notify your surgeon and make sure that further workup of a neck source is not necessary prior to surgery. Load up on Ibuprofen and alternate with tylenol (acetaminophen).

Call surgeon: Call your surgeon. The doctor may advise you to go to the er or see them in the office. May just be due to swelling but there are more serious things to be ruled out.

Carpal tunnel?: Ur wrist may b hanging from the edge of ur immobilizer in a flexed position compressing the median nerve, causing cts. If so purchase a cock-up wrist splint and wear it 2 prevent the flexion of the wrist.
