I have a baby of 36 days old and he has gone through a recent surgery of pyloric stenosis and now he is not sleeping well please help me?

Try to repeat the same routine you had before the problem arose. Repetition of a familiar pattern should eventually overcome the disruption caused by the pain and past hospital routine. It usually takes a week or two.

The baby is now experiencing possible pain due to the surgery. Watch for any signs of infection including fever, drainage from the wound and increased redness. Follow post op instructions for wound care. The sleep pattern following a procedure is often altered, but if there is no improvement in the sleep pattern, please follow up with your Pediatrician. A virtual consult with Healthtap is avail.
