Take decongestants.: Blocked ears when you have runny and congested nose is due to congestion in eustachian tube that connects ears to throat. Taking decongestants with guifenecin should help. Mucinex (guaifenesin) D is one such medicine. It is sold over the counter but you might need to ask a pharmacist to give it to you.
