Can i mix pantoprazole 40g with applause with crushing it.i been taking 2x a day with antibiotics. it seems like it not going all the way down. i can taste and feel it afterwards. i have a problem swallowing solids 4 weeks. upper ed, barium te normal?

Not recommended: It is not recommended to crush pantoprazole tablets. It is available in granule form which can be taken 30 minutes before a meal. There are alternatives such as Prevacid (lansoprazole) which comes in a capsule form. The capsule can be opened and mixed with applesauce. The equivalent strength is 30 mg of Prevacid (lansoprazole) to 40 mg of Protonix.

Yes: but so you have the right dosage...its usual to prescribe 20 mgm twice a day or 40 mgm once per day!!! Check with the Prescribing Physician!!!!! Hope this helps! Dr Z
