Needs timely eval: He is experiencing dysphagia that you can review on different sites, including Wikipedia. Causes are functional, as seen in strokes, for example or anatomic, infectious or caused by abnormal growth. Agree with Dr. P: If your husband has lost weight, it is imperative that he see a doctor as soon as possible. Start with a general practitioner and he/she can figure out the right specialist to be consulted. Wish you and your husband good health!
