Hello i just had a video appointment with a doctor who said she would try to prescribe me codeine syrup for my cough, but instead she tried to get me hydrocodone syrup which is schedule 4 and not allowed. can i get prescribed codeine syrup?

Safe to take.: Hydrocodone is as good as codeine or even better to help stop your coughing. You can safely use it for a short period of time like about a week without any problem. It might cause some drowsiness.

NO: CODEINE, IS LIKE HYDROCODONE BOTH SCHEDULE 4 AND NOT ALLOWED. YOU CAN GET A COUGH PEARL FROM HEALTH TAP DOCTOR IN YOUR STATE VIS LIVE CONSULT . OR TRY OTC MRDICATION FOR YOUR COUGH. OR YOU MIGHT HAVE TO SEE YOUR LOCAL PCP.

Only locally.: That's a controlled substance, and we can't prescribe those. A doctor local to you needs to write you a prescription for that.
