Allergeic to codone: M of unknown age or medical Hx asks: If I'm allergic to hydrocodone, can I safely take promethazine with codeine cough syrup? ANS: if you mean your allergy showed up as severe hives and SOB and you almost died then no do not take it. If you mean you upchucked with it then might be OK. Trying is only way to find out. If 1 I would not try. Discuss with team.
