Bronchitis: That is a powerful med, usually will give if intractable cough and no other relief. If you want to put on shelf for later date OK. I would suggest OTC, Delsym and regular Mucinex. Fluids and actually lemon in water is a good expectorant. Ibuprofen for discomfort. Good luck

Yes that's a lot: Yes, that's a lot of narcotic. I would take one or the other, and only if needed.
