A member asked:

Before "aggressive" bursectomy doc gave me hydrocodone 5mg/tylenol 375 for pain. after, hospital gave me codeine 30mg/tylenol 300. what is difference?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

TWO DIFFERENT COMPOU: Both are used for pain and different compounds, both have tylenol (acetaminophen) in slightly different dosage and hydrocodone 5mgm is somewhat stronger than Codeine 30mgm.Both can be addictive if used over long periods.
