Burping: Pepsi is a carbonated drink and that means that you are going to experience carbon dioxide gas coming out of solution as you drink. This will cause burping. When you have swallowed something before drinking that is likely to take a little longer to make it down the esophagus, eg peanut butter and banana, the Pepsi wont get too far down before it bubbles in the esophagus feeling like it got stuck

Carbon dioxide: Funny. I love bananas and peanut butter too (crunchy). When you get a large wad of something in your esophagus, it may take awhile for the muscles to squeeze it all the way down. Meanwhile, whatever you follow will get stuck temporarily. In this case, Pepsi, which is full of CO2. Having no way to get down, the bubbles came back up! I wouldn't worry too much about it, unless it is a pattern.
