This could be any: number of things. It could be a stomach virus, strep or a surgical problem, among other things. Did he have an injury to his abdomen? If so, that may be a more urgent problem, that might necessitate an emergency room visit. I would recommend you call his doctor and request for him to be seen there. His doctor can assess if he needs to be seen or if you can manage this at home for now.
