A very long time: Valium has a long half life and has an active metabolite N-desmethyldiazepam, which has an elimination half-life of up to 100 hours. Theoretically, it requires up to 5 half-lives for a drug to be completely out of your system, which would be ~500 hours (21 days or 3 weeks) for valium.

A few days (?): I'm not an expert in drugs or drugs testing and don't know the accuracy of oral swab tests like this. But this question apparently has been unanswered for a while, so here goes. Diazepam (Valium) is quite long acting. I suspect an accurate test would detect it a few days after the last dose.

It depends: Sensitivity/Cut off level makes a difference. Urine concentration makes a difference, how much one has been taking... liver function etc..can all effect the duration of detection time. Why hide it? Best to be open if at all possible and get to the bottom of what is ailing you. Find a professional you can be real with. That alone can help with anxiety etc.
