You may have eczema: You may have eczema. This usually results in dry, chapped, or cracking skin. Even though it's dry; the skin is dried out more by the evaporation of water after you get your hands wet. This additional drying contributes to cracking and sometimes bleeding. It's best with eczema to avoid wetness. Also, apply Hydrocortisone steroid cream to the skin. If that doesn't work, you'll need a stronger rx.
