Find a reputable neuropsychologist in your area who does this kind of testing.A series of tests are administered and a report is generated that is understandable by all with recommendations and will answer the question about whether or not you have ADD.

Get tested: A doc who would give you ADD meds without having good documentation(testing) would be at risk of losing her/his license in my state. Be prepared to undergo a series of tests as well as a thorough history and exam. If you are not prepared to do so, you would be considered just a drug seeker.

Psychological tests: The only way to sensitively specifically reliably validly know if you have an attention deficit or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is to have a thorough neuropsychological test battery that includes ability achievement attention behavior memory perception personality. There are other conditions that could be comorbid or co-occurring so a computerized personality test is needed also.
