I'm afraid: you may have impacted Cerumen (Ear Wax) which the steroid will not help!! Did the presriber look in your ears?? If so and no wax it sounds like you need a DECONGESTANT orally (eg: Sudaphed) and nasal spray(Afrin every 8 hours) Hope all this helps! DrZ
