5ml ovidrel wed 8/19/15 and yesterday 8/25/15 i had a beta hcg. the dr's office just called & told me that i'm pregnant. could it be false positive?

It could be: Pregnancy tests occasionally return false positive results. This does not happen often, though. Usually pregnancy tests are correct. Although you had an Ovidrel injection recently, you may have become pregnant before you got it or afterward, as it does not have a 100% success rate in preventing pregnancy.
