I took hcg drops about a month ago, stopped about 15 days later. yesterday i took a home pregnancy test and it came back positive. could it be false?

Probably not: The drops were so long ago, and there is not great absorption anyway (ie. waste of money) that it would not cause the pregnancy test to be positive. I suggest you follow up with your GYN.
