I'm afraid not.: Flonase is not approved for children under 4. Even if it were, in this situation it would be unlikely to help. Gentle use of nasal saline (salt water) either delivered by a mist or gentle spray via a blue bulb syringe is helpful. Steam inhalation (not over a boiling pot which is very dangerous) in a steamed-up bathroom or over a cool humidifier can be effective as well.

Mgt: I would recommend nasal saline first, and a humidifier. If these measures do not relieve the congestion, please see your PCP.

If severe: An OTC nasal decongestant spray appropriate for their ages may be used for 3-5 days if necessary. Flonase does not help in this situation.
