Virus: Viruses (especially the summer time viruses) can cause rashes with or without fevers. Strep can cause a rash that is rough, usually on the stomach (uncommon under age 2). Heat rash can also cause a bumpy pink rash on the abdomen. I would have the baby seen to be sure nothing serious is going on.
