Proper exam and rx: This should be handled by the doc who examines you and ordered the test.This WBC might be elevated a bit by the stress of a flare and may not indicate an infection. If there is an infection, management would depend on the cause. Many flare due to lower respiratory viruses that do not need antibiotics.
