LPR: Laryngopharyngeal reflux (lpr) is often mistaken for asthma, even by physicians. Throat swelling caused by small amts. Of stomach acids can cause swelling in the area around the opening to the lungs. This may result in a dry cough, hoarseness, or promlems breathing-in.
