A member asked:

On an abdominal ultrasound to check for cancer, why would it be noted "ovaries are not visualized"? no history of hysterectomy.

Ovaries: Ovaries are small organs normally, and if they are hidden by loops of bowel or other organs, they may be difficult to visualize via ultrasound. If your menstrual cycle is regular and you are noting no issues, it is probably no concern whatsoever. I would bring it up at your next routine visit. Otherwise, I would not be worried.

No ovaries on ultras: Need more information. For example how old are you and how big is your belly. Are you transgender? Detail menstrual and reproductive Hx.
