I had a total hysterectomy and everything was taken but one ovary. the other ovary that was taken had a mucinous cystedenafibroma and it turned out not to be cancer. can it grow again in other ovary and shoujd i be checked again its been 2 years?

Lifetime risk of ovarian cancer is 1 :78, mortality 1:108. Ovarian. cancer peak at age 63 with range of 55-64 years. Women diagnosed early has much better chance of five years survival rates. Yes, you should request Checkup though you are unlikely to develop ovarian cancer. ( wishful thinking). Hope it helps.

These benign tumors can reoccur in the opposite ovary so it’s probably not a bad idea to periodically get a sonogram and certainly continue with your regular check ups
