Depends: Depends on its appearance and location. If it is above the tissue immediately bordering the teeth which is firmly attached to the bone , then it is in the mucosa which is moveable. If this is the case, then it likely is a blood vessel (vein) showing through the tissue. If it is on the firm tissue then it may be pigmentation and can be normal. Best to see the Dentist to be sure. See a dentist or PCP: If you have a blue mark on your gum and it does not clear in 3-4 weeks, see your dentist or PCP and get a professional examination and opinion.
