Still may be fluid: If you swam or showered, a thin layer of liquid can adhere to the tympanic membrane or ear drum and cause this sensation. Or some fluid can ooze out of tissue and be behind (inside) the eardrum. The outside the ear drum liquid should go away on it's own. And often the inner liquid will also resolve. If pain occurs or the whoosh doesn't clear after a week, have a doctor examine your ear.
