Cough: Cough that persists for a month warrants a doctor visit for examination and appropriate tests. Many conditions may cause cough, including infection, airway inflammation, tumors, and reflux. Best to see the doctor to sort this out.

A month of ...: ...persistent cough is something that should be looked in to. Most often this is due to your airways being inflamed when they were fighting a virus. Sometimes this reactivity of your airways after an infection is the first sign you have asthma. The bit of blood may be a little blood vessel trauma from forceful coughing. It is time to see your doctor for an evaluation. Hope this helps; take care:)
