Doubtful.: While it is often best to fix this problem before it causes trouble, it is highly unlikely to kill you. The most concerning danger is the intestine cutting off it's blood supply when poking through the hernia. That's an emergency. So, if it starts getting bigger, or you feel uncomfortable pressure, and most definitely if it becomes painful, you should be examined right away, immediately.
