It should not.: Umbilical hernia repair is a superficial surgery to the abdominal wall and should not be affected by an internal problem such as circumaortic renal collar. Circumaortic renal collar can be hazardous in retroperitoneal surgery (surgery involving the posterior part of the abdominal cavity), and then usually only if it is not previous known about. Umbilical hernias are located anteriorly.
