My daughter took a hearing &health screening, wouldn't response, just made some motions, what could be wrong?

Need more info: more information is needed. Is your daughter 4 years old? With traditional hearing screens, it can be difficult for some kids to understand the "game" of raising their hand when they hear the beep. If she did not pass a hearing screen, she should have a repeat test and then referral to an audiologist for formal eval may be needed.

Nothing or something: I avoid doing any hearing screening at 4 because most do not understand the test. At 5 most have the maturity to respond to instructions. If your kid responds to whispered speech from a few feet, I wouldn't worry. If there is a real concern (not just a pushy day care director) I would arrange to have a sound field study with an audiologist. A kid can acquire hearing loss during childhood.
