Type of formula: Formulas have different bases - cows milk, soybean, and basic amino acids. Some infants can react to the protein in formula. Foul smell and dark stool are worrisome for a reaction that should be seen tomorrow by your MD to make sure the formula your child is on is causing intestinal irritation. If your child is in distress, fever, constant crying seek emergency care.
