Urethritis: There can be other causes for discomfort with urination, urgency and frequency. Irritation of the urethra (site where urine exits the body) can cause these symptoms. If from a UTI in a healthy young female 5-7 days of antibiotics is adequate unless there is resistant bacteria. Other causes: runners urethritis; Chlamydia (STD often with no symptoms); other STDs. I advise follow up. Good luck.
