Just how it works: 20% of women are positive at any one time. It is a normal bacteria for some women that lives in the colon. We test pregnant women because it can cause serious infections in babies who inhale it when passing through the vagina in delivery. All that needs to be done is you should get antibiotics when in labor. This is extremely common and normal.
