Maybe: The active shedding (in saliva) of mono causing germs is most active for the first 3 weeks in most patients. In some it continues for 3 months or intermittently for years. Any risk to your significant other would assume that they never had it before and or aren't already incubating the disease. (weeks) Most have mono in childhood as a simple "virus"and aren't too sick.This makes them immune.

Not really known: Doctors and researchers are not really sure how long one is contagious after symptoms are gone but could be many months and some studies show that as long as 18 months. If I were you, I would at least wait another 3-4 weeks
