A little extreme: Persistant tachycardia can lead to a cardiomyopathy. Although it is possible for a 26 yo to achieve a HR of 200 this would be expected only during extreme exercise. To have elevated heart rates with casual exercise is worrisome. On Inderal (propranolol) as you indicate this is even more surprising. I assume you are not morbidly obese or have pulmonary disease. I suggest a second opinion and some testing.
