A member asked:

Went for a second opinion today . cardiologist said i have a heart murmer . i'm 27 is that ok to have ? echo normal no leaky valves .

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Well...: A normal Echo (if carefully read by a certified cardiologist) pretty much rules out any serious valve disease. One can still hear a murmur on occasion, which is not significant. This can happen in people that are thin, or sometimes in people that are anemic. Please do not worry, this is likely "normal"
