Can an ophthalmologist tell if your eye has been recently (within two weeks) poked by something very fine, like a hypodermic needle?

Rarely: After injection with a fine hypodermic needle, there may be a small spot of hemorrhage. Usually, however, there is little sign of injection by two weeks out.

Yes: If there is a question of this type of injury, you need to be examined. A retinal hole may be asymptomatic at this point.
