No worries: There is considerable "wiggle" room in the calculation of blood levels of platelets. 388 and 400 are essentially the same and not a reflection of a trend or anything wrong. Why was your platelet count being done anyway. There should be a clinical need to get this value.

Can taking iron pills even though you are normal or not anemic anymore raise your platelet count ? Ive been taking iron as I was anemic over a year ago from bleeding from a hiatal hernia and reflux which are now under control. Platelets were 420k?
My platelet count is 478 (ranges from 450 for the past year). Doc told to take iron pills daily and ferritin is normal. Was high platelets the cause of my 2 pregnancy losses? Also been TTC now for 2 years?
