A member asked:

I am 22 year old. i had a gallstone with size of 1.2cm in gall bladder. i have mild discomforts and stabbing pain sometimes. is surgery recommended?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably yes: While there is never 100% accuracy in medicine, sounds like it would be a good idea to remove the gallbladder in order to alleviate your symptoms, especially if they are worse with eating, and the pain is in the upper abdomen. Laparoscopic approach is generally best. Hope this helps!
