Gallstones: Are lumps found in the gallbladder or bile duct that are formed when substances there harden. It is not clear what causes them but can be from too much cholesterol in the bile, too much bilirubin in the bile or your gall bladder does not empty correctly. If the gallstones are not obstructing anything and the symptoms are manageable, surgery might not be absolutely recommended. Consult surgeon. :)
